***My top 5 complaints***

Before I get started I would like to say that if Gil Mantera's Party Dream is not on your list next year I'm not sure we can still be friends. Ok, onto my top 5 complaints about Ryan's 2005 Music Year in Review.

Honorable mention complaint: Engineers – Come In And Out Of The Rain...solely on the list due to said list writer's college affiliation.

5. While I will give props for the selection of The Decemberists – 16 Military Wives for favorite songs due to my enjoyment of political satire, clearly We Both Go Down Together was the best song on the album.

4. Stars is number 4?!?! I saw the Stars play and the bassist (?)...the one that looks very male modelesque...was wearing this long white glam scarf. Automatic negation of any music credibility, this aside from the fact that saying they suck monkeyass live is being kind.

3. Where the fock is Against Me! on your list? Not only did they release a great album in 2005 but they were my favorite show of the year.

2. Wolf Parade and The Decemberists behind Bloc Party?!?! I don't think this complaint even needs an explanation. You should be ashamed of yourself.

1. My number 1 complaint….
From the top concerts list…"4. !!! @ S.O.B.’s – Friday, September 16th
Topping off a night which included the Arts & Crafts showcase at Hiro Ballrooom, Thursday (and open bar) at Webster Hall, Immaculate Machine at CB’s, Bret getting trashed and Cursive at Bowery Ballroom, !!!’s performance at S.O.B.’s blew my mind. They didn’t go onstage until after 1am but we all danced our ass off for their entire set. Alex tried to pick me up at one point. It wasn’t me. Supposed Ryan wasn’t pleased. Drenched in sweat and tired as all hell we caught a cab back to the apartment after another amazing night of CMJ madness."

Um, where is the mention of my birthday party? Was that not the highlight of your night?
