Awesome; thanks for posting this…
thanks a lot for this!
two quick questions: did my brightest diamond open, and if so did you get her set?
‘preciate it!
thank you. thank you. thank you.
The sound is indeed great. Wonderful to be able to heaar this again, always nice to get a recording of a show I was at, and even more so when it sounds this good. Well done, and thanks again.
I was at the show! this is awesome!!
Thank you so much for the recordings of the concert. I was unable to get tickets to see Sufjan. I was unable to open the encore tracks (Zomblies, Casmir–my favorite). I was wondering if they could be reloaded? However, I am not complaining because I am beyond grateful for a live concert of Sufjan. Much thanks!
The encore tracks don’t work
Please fix the links for the last 2 songsI think all they need are .mp3’s at the end
17 They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From The Dead!! Ahhhh!
18 Casimir Pulaski Day
Fixed!
What’s the laughter for during Man of Metropolis? He didn’t play that song in Atlanta.
Thanks for these great recordings. The most beautiful concert I’ve ever experience. And you can def hear when they unleashed the inflatable Santas during “Worst Xmas Ever.” Put a smile on my face.
Initially the laughter was for the inflatable Superman dolls thrown from the stage and raining down from the balcony, but it was also in response to the video they played during the song which showed Sufjan and friends goofing around with Superman cutouts and a mountain of inflatables.
ryan, i love you for posting this. please post the entire unedited version soon. and thank you for linking to my photos.
thank you so much!!!!
i have a bunch of videos on my youtube from the first two nights if anyone is interested.. and the last night should be coming sometime this week or next week.

thanks ryan! i was crossing my fingers hoping someone was getting all this. i second what bugsinamber said, any chance for the unedited version? i adore all of his stories.
thank you so much for going to all the trouble to post this. i am amazingly grateful. you made my week!
xo,
mp
Thank you thank you thank you! I thought this show was great, and that all the songs from Seven Swans sound better live (I saw him on Sunday and it was true for that show as well). Anyway you are awesome, long live the butterfly fan brigade
anyone have a recording of saturday night 9/30?? very excellent. thanks in advance!
A billion of thanks for posting this!
I can’t believe how beautiful it is !!!
thank you so much for this, ryan! the mp3 blogs are mad-linking to this! u’re so lucky to have heard majesty snowbird live with the works!
You are a hero. Thank you.
I was hoping someone recorded this show, which was quite possibly the best concert I’ve been to yet. amazing. thank you SO much.
Thanks for posting this. Fantastic. Sharing the love, I put up a video of Chicago from the second row of the Atlanta show on you tube.
Check it here.

Thanks so much! can you tell me what all the laughter was for during Worst Christmas Ever? He neglected to play that song in Indianapolis… I was laughing along while listening even though I didnt know what i was laughing at, haha
thank you thank you - I was at the Sept 28 show at the Tower in Philadelphia - what a wonderful concert - nice to have this version from the next evening
Lovely…I went to his show in Atlanta…Fantastic…He killed when he played “Seven Swans”
The laughter during The Worst Xmas Ever was from the inflatable Santas thrown into the crowd. You can hear them squeaking and if you listen carefully one falls into the aisle to the left of where I was sitting. It actually happened to the right, but my mic was upside down. A girl ran down to the aisle and rescued santa before security cleared him away.
You totally rock for recording/posting this!!! I was at this show sitting not ten feet from Sufjan and even managed to get popped in the back of the head by one of the Supermans. How great to hear this concert again! I’m especially pleased to get a second crack at the Supercomputer Overture. Thanks!!!
thanx so much for this post > can’t wait to relive > attended fri & sat shows @ town hall, took my 11 yr old son on sat - we were in total awe - we’ve waited a long time to see sufjan & band, unfortunately missed him at aol/tw building. i’m actually surprised at the lack of postings from this tour - to thee i am eternally grateful - cheers!
This is just what I am looking for. I flew all the way from Florida with my girlfriend for this show. We originally only had tickets for the firday night show, but during the day on saturday our friend who we were staying with ended up getting tickets at the box office, ones which where apparently just opened up. They were even better seats than the night before, they were front row balcony center (right next to the profector) Anyways, sorry for the rant but I will be sure to share this with all of my friends.
Thank you so much. i wanted to go to the show in NC but it sold out in minutes.
Many thanks for the excellent recording!
Actually, the laughter during “Man of Metropolis” was my fault. One of the inflatable supermen landed in my lap, and this one chose to ascend a few feet and sway back and forth to the music for the beginning of the song. This was apparently humorous. My biggest thrill was that Sufjan could hear the tittering and looked up to see what was going on.
That video was merely cute, but not laugh-out-loud so.
where are other set lists? (specifically the nyc shows)
THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY! I live too far away from any place the tour was hitting. This is the next best thing because it is so beautifully recorded. You have really blessed me. Thank you so much!
Thank you!
I second the request for the My Brightest Diamond set. I LOVE her new album.
Xmas & birthday rolled into one!!!
Thank you so much. I do believe this is my first time to get a live recording of a show I was at. I appreciate it greatly, and am very excited to listen.
Im seeing Sufjan in 20 or so days in Manchester England.
I’m looking forward to it even more now.
Fantastic recording.
Many Thanks
Steve

you are my new favorite person in the world! edmonton (canada) is thankful!
Excellent! Wish I could see him in London but it’s sold out - I’ve only just found Sufjan in the last couple of months and found out about the tour too late. I’ll have to wait till next time - in the meantime it’s good to hear what he sounds like live. Thanks!
you are an amazing person for posting this! thank you so much!
Thank you so much for posting this; the sound quality is absolutely incredible for a live performance. This only makes me more determined to see him this year, no matter how far I have to travel or how much it’ll cost. He’s probably one of the most brilliant and prolific musicians of our time.
I went to this show in Chicago at the Riviera on September 26, can’t believe you recorded this! This is sooo amazing
Hey guys, there’s another English person about,
I’m a new on ryspace.com
looking forward to speaking to you guys soon
I also recorded a Sufjan show–both soundboard and audience, and posted a pretty amazing matrix of the two sources at dimeadozen. Y’all should check it out!

I posted a response almost a year ago, and I just wanted to let you know that I DID actually get to see him this year…my determination paid off
His concert at BAM on November 3rd was the greatest performance I’ve ever seen. Thanks again for posting the bootleg of the Town Hall show. I had loved him dearly before, but hearing these orchestral versions is what really blew my mind.
this was wonderful. thank you very, very much.
